first time Cueing

Last week, on Monday the 20th of October, was the first time I tried cueing. Cueing is basically the Deputy Stage Managers job during a show where they have to give all the cues over cans to the ops to make sure that the show can run smoothly. Although this is quite stressful, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it! I know we only had a simple task & that it will be more complicated next time but it really made me feel professional..

The Sound Desk

This is the University's Sound Desk:

I have to admit that with all the dials, buttons and faders it overwhelms me. I'm not expecting to be able to understand what all the different parts do but I will certainly be able to do simple sound checks.
